Dr. Carlson

Hello and welcome to our office.

My name is Dr. David Carlson and I am happy that you are with us today. I am originally from Burlington, Iowa and moved to Colorado Springs with my lovely wife Angela in 1993. We have two amazing children Audrey, 13 years and Sean 10 years who keep us on our toes.

I am a graduate of the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic, having graduated with a doctorate degree in 1989. I began my doctoring career in 1989 in a beautiful Wisconsin town, Prairie du Chien, before buying my practice here.

With family prominent in my life, I have crafted a practice reflective
of this priority. Our practice includes the very young to the very young at heart. We have a very child friendly office and staff working hard to meet your needs and make everyone comfortable throughout the healing experience.

I have completed a postdoctoral certification in clinical
Acupuncture, along with hundreds of hours in Endocrinology,
Nutrition and Pediatrics. My family and I truly enjoy the outdoor
life, whether it be rafting, camping, fishing, bee keeping, rock
climbing or just a hike with the dog.
Ken

Ken Obermark

My name is Ken and I grew up in Washington, Missouri. Growing up with a large and close knit family, I knew early in life I wanted to care for others and seek out a career to allow me to do just that. I thank God that I am on this path.

In 1996 the pull to become a massage therapist was realized with a starter certification course in St. Louis. I then went on to finish my bachelor's degree in exercise science, with further study in biomechanics, anatomy / physiology, nutrition and stress management. I graduated with honors in 2001. Next, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and attended the Utah College of Massage Therapy. Within a year, I had learned 11 different way of treating people. I grew most interested in injury massage and structural bodywork. Over the past 7 years I have taken many hours of advanced training in each of these two areas. My specific training and focus include active release, biomechanics, muscle activation, advanced myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy and orthopeodic massage and pain management. I am currently studying the Egoscue method of postural alignment.
